Education
Masters of Science in Engineering: Sustainable Cities
Aalborg Universitet | Copenhagen, Denmark SEPTEMBER 2021 - JUNE 2023 Expected
Aalborg University's Master in Sustainable Cities is an internationally recognized award winning program focused on tools for quantifying and analyzing the challenges with sustainable transitions as well as understanding how policy, citizens, practice and organizations influence change. Topics covered include waste management, science and research design, energy planning, water management, transport planning, and infrastructure synergies.
Bachelors of Civil Engineering (B.Eng)
University of Victoria | Victoria B.C. Canada SEPTEMBER 2013 - AUGUST 2018
The University of Victoria’s Civil Engineering program program is designed to be Canada’s greenest civil engineering program. During my degree, I studied a wide variety of sustainability topics, including Resilient Smart Cities, Sustainable Transportation, Building Energy Simulation, and Green Building Design. I also held advisory roles within the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering - University of Victoria chapter, played soccer on various teams, and provided photography for clubs on campus.
Engineering Projects
- I co-authored a research paper for the International Building Performance Simulation Association Rome 2019 conference, [Full Paper]. The paper investigates how machine learning and advanced statistical methods can enable building operators to better predict HVAC system energy demands and correspondingly reduce consumption. I created an OLS machine learning model in python to analyze a dataset comprised of over 2,100 timeseries spanning several years at sub-hourly resolution.
